An evening with Jason

So if you recall my last blog of an evening spent with Shawna, well during the same evening I was also fortunate to be able to take pictures of local model/actor Jason Seagade.

The studio remained unused for the shoot, instead the corridors and lifts in the building were use, along with a replica fire arm. Jason was superb and was able to bring to the shot a lot more than normal models were able to to. This was very clearly one of his attributes as an actor. He really jumped into and embraced his role, and hopefully from the few images attached you will agree.

The images were all processed using Lightroom, and then converted to Black and White using Silver Efex.

I did consider keeping some them as colour, but with the look and feel of the building, Black and White was the only way to go, enjoy.

An evening with….Mark Hadon

Recently had an evening session in the studio with local part time model Mark Hadon. Mark, by day, is a teacher in a local school, and as you can see from the images, really looks after himself.

Mark was great to work with, adept at most poses that he was asked to perform, and some of them was quite hard on his body, despite the rippling muscles.

He even brought his own kit to use…….

Well, he didn’t bring the tyre, that was in the studio.

It was a great night, Mark was so easy to work with and has a great personality.

Hopefully I shall be working with Mark in the near future.

Dean

A few images of Dean from a recent shoot. Dean was covered in tattoos. from hi neck down, and he was very proud of them. He was great to work with during the shoot, hopefully will get to work with him some more in the future.

LRPS Distinction

Ok, so after a lot of deliberation, i have decided to apply for an LRPS distinction with the Royal Photographic Society. I have been looking through images that i have taken over the past years both in studio and location shoots and have made a selection of the pictures that i will review and get down to the required number. Strangely, the images that i like are all of portraits, both male and female, So over the next few week i will look at these at different time of the day and make my selection.

I have also posted them in this blog, please see below, so if anybody out there reads the blog, any comment/thoughts/suggestions that you my have (keep them clean) would be most welcome and helpful.

Second Blog

Ok, so this is my second blog, just gone for the domain name registration. Hopefully this will pay in the long term as i hope to kick start a second job as a full time photographer, well thats the plan….which as everybody knows, even the best plans can go wrong, and not always when you expect them to.

I have attached a couple of images from a studio shoot that I did earlier this year with a local   model
by the name of Dean, he was very good to work with and had a body full of tattoo’s. Hope you enjoy.
