An evening with a Vampire….

OK, not a dramatic as the title suggests. As in an earlier blog, I have joined the ranks of Purple-Port and dived in a set up a shot with a local model who goes under the name of….Vampire Princess…..

This was the first time that I had arranged a shot, so was a bit apprehensive. Once I meet the ‘Vampire@ any thoughts I had was soon put to the back of my mind, and we dived straight into the session.

I had booked for an one hour slot, and before i knew it, the 60 minutes had gone, just as well as bang on cue, the batteries in my flash gave up the ghost. I was a bit surprised that they only lasted the hour, but when I looked at the image count on the SD card, I had some understanding, in the hour, I had shot over 170 frames….

I managed to get some good shots, a few of which are below. So thank you very much Vampire, a great introduction, and it’s not put me off doing anymore using Purple-Port.

Note – some of the images are nude, so only carry on if these do not offend you…..

More of Cally

It as been a while since the last post, busy with life, doing the daily chore and teh grind of the normal. Not had much chance to do any serious photography. You may re-call that way back in June, when we had the summer, i did a shoot with a local model, Cally. I have already uploaded a few photos from the day. Looking through them on a rainy night, i realised that i had taken quite a few more than i had previously realised, now with a small amount of free time, I have started to go through these. So after a quick look, here are a few more.

There will be at least one more post of her images, possible two.

So enjoy these for now, looking forward, i have a shot planned through the Flash Centre, using Phase One equipment. Not used there gear before so really looking forward to that, not until September so a few week to wait.

An evening with….Mark Hadon

Recently had an evening session in the studio with local part time model Mark Hadon. Mark, by day, is a teacher in a local school, and as you can see from the images, really looks after himself.

Mark was great to work with, adept at most poses that he was asked to perform, and some of them was quite hard on his body, despite the rippling muscles.

He even brought his own kit to use…….

Well, he didn’t bring the tyre, that was in the studio.

It was a great night, Mark was so easy to work with and has a great personality.

Hopefully I shall be working with Mark in the near future.

Interesting Challenge

So at the last camera club meeting we were challenged to come up with a AV project lasting between 1:30 – 3:00 minutes, to include a soundtrack if required.

All to be complete for the end of April 2015 with a grand viewing to be held at a venue sometime in May 2015.

Now to get the thinking cap on, a few ideas kicking around so time to start planning so which may be the best option.

Before this was announced we had a talk by local photographer Richard Battye of his new project based on the form of the human body, some very unusual images and some striking poses.

Check out his work at http://www.riverstudio.co.uk   well woth a look.

Dean

A few images of Dean from a recent shoot. Dean was covered in tattoos. from hi neck down, and he was very proud of them. He was great to work with during the shoot, hopefully will get to work with him some more in the future.

Dance Evening – More Images

Got round to sorting out some more images from the recent dance evening. These are of Natalie who did a freestyle routine. She got on with, and did not complain too much about the dirty and cold floor (look at the feet).

Second Blog

Ok, so this is my second blog, just gone for the domain name registration. Hopefully this will pay in the long term as i hope to kick start a second job as a full time photographer, well thats the plan….which as everybody knows, even the best plans can go wrong, and not always when you expect them to.

I have attached a couple of images from a studio shoot that I did earlier this year with a local   model
by the name of Dean, he was very good to work with and had a body full of tattoo’s. Hope you enjoy.
